Description
The history of the plant began in 1896, when in connection with the construction of the Trans-Siberian Railway in the city of Omsk, workshops for the repair of rolling stock were organized. In the future, the plant changed its name several times:
1896. - The main railway workshops;
1930. - Steam-Engine Plant. Rudzutak (PVRZ);
1941. - Plant number 173 tank industry;
1942. - Plant number 174;
1946. - Plant number 174 them. Voroshilov;
1965. - Plant named after the October Revolution;
1988. - Production Association "Transport Machine-Building Plant" named after the October Revolution;
2000. - State Unitary Enterprise "Omsktransmash".
ON "transport engineering factory" - is the first specialized tank company and the only company that has a closed technological cycle of production of the tank.
